It's called umbrella liability because it sits on top of your auto and homeowners liability policies to provide extra protection. And, even if you don’t own a home, remember that you still need renter’s insurance to cover both your liability and your personal property.

Some examples where umbrella coverage often comes into play:

• An auto accident in which you’re sued under your auto insurance policy
• Your neighbor slips and falls on your property, and you’re sued under your homeowners insurance
• A natural disaster in which another person's property is damaged by, say, a tree on your property crashing down on their vehicle or home. This usually falls into the, "I thought that was covered by my homeowners policy" category

We prepared and sent creative cards and letters to members of our Armed Services to focus on their commitment to our freedoms and to thank them for their enormous efforts on our behalf.

“This project was brought to my attention by one of my employees who had previously done this with the aid of her former serviceman Dad. It sounded like a way for us to make sure that our men and women in uniform know they are not forgotten,” said Steve.

If you are interested in doing something worthwhile, and feeling good about it as well, simply writing a card or letter is all you need do. This is also a good activity to complete with friends and family.
